Forbidden Love?

It seems that love is forbidden for me.
Well, at least expressing it.
I can't hug or kiss my boyfriend in public if his parents are around.
I can't hold him close for a hug.
I can't say "I love you" unless I want to offend his family.
Do they just not like me?
I think that's just it.
I can't go near there...
without feeling discomfort.
It starts in my stomach, an aching foreboding.
It's just painful for me.
I will not go there.
